Beginning Quilting Session 1: Learn to Quilt Quick and Easy Class 1
You will first practice rotary cutting with fabric provided with class fee. Once comfortable with rotary cutting, you will begin to cut the fabric you purchased for this quilt and begin to sew the blocks together. This is one of two classes. Sign up for both classes on line, or in the store. Learn the basics of how to make a quilt. This is a two part class and you need to register for both days.

| Requirements: | *1/4 yard each of 6 different fabrics (if you are using fabric with a large repeat, additional fabric may be required.) *1/8 yard for the 4 corner pieces *1/2 yard for the borders Optional: *3/8 yard for binding (not needed for the class time) *23/4 yards for backing, not needed for the class time) Other Supplies: *Sewing machine, threaded, in good working order with 1/4" foot attached *Rotary cutter and cutting mat *Acrylic ruler at least 61/2 x 241/2". (Creative Grids 81/2" x 241/2" is recommended) *1-61/2 inch ruler is nice to have but not required *Sewing pins *Scissors *Pattern will be provided in class at no charge |
