This class will help you master easy "no pin" curves using the QCR (Quick Curve Ruler) as you create a floral design masterpiece quilt. This is a new pattern by Sew Kind of Wonderful. After you capture the skill of this ruler, try another QCR pattern as there are so many out there.

| Requirements: | Posh Penelope Quilt ? Supplies needed for class Fabric: These amounts are needed to make one (1) entire block (if you wish to purchase or use your stash for the entire quilt, please refer to the pattern): Petals for flower ? 1 fat quarter, ? yard, or 4 - 6 ?? X 6 ?? squares. Background ? 1 fat quarter or ? yard. (This fabric needs to be the same within ?one? flower block, but can be different backgrounds for each flower block if you are making the entire quilt). Corner blocks ? enough fabric for 4 ? 2 ?? squares (can all be the same or can be different fabrics). Corner block sashing ? 2 ? 5?x 5? squares (can all be the same or can be different fabrics). Center square ? 1 ? 1? square. Supplies: Posh Penelope pattern by Sew Kind of Wonderful. Quick Curve Ruler (QCR) by Sew Kind of Wonderful - regular size (not the mini QCR). Sew Square 6 by Sew Kind of Wonderful ? (this ruler is optional, but I strongly suggest it for accurate cutting of blocks). If you do not purchase or have this ruler, please bring a regular 6? square ruler. Sewing machine. Basic sewing supplies (pins, scissors, bobbins, seam ripper, marking pencil, etc.). Cutting mat. 28 mm rotary cutter. 45 mm rotary cutter. 6? X 24? ruler or 6? X 12? ruler. If you have it, also bring an 8 ?? ruler, if not, you can use your other rulers. We will make at least 1 entire block in class and hopefully a few more. Even though I gave you the requirements for 1 block, please bring enough fabric to make 3 ? 6 blocks. Please bring a sack lunch. |
