Mental Health Matters: Learning Self-Care through Stitching and Mess-Making
Please join us for a two hour workshop for exploring your mess making potential and learning how to incorporate mindfulness skills and self-care practice into your creative stitching process. This introductory class is also meant to express your emotions within your craft. Cora is a licensed therapist and creative counselor in the local Des Moines area.

Materials Included: | What to Bring: All materials will be provided for hand-stitching (cloth/needle/thread) but if you have personal notions that you?d prefer to use, especially if you knit or crochet, please bring them with you. |

Instructor Bio: | Cora Drew is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor whom provides services in a community mental health center in Des Moines, IA. She is also a fellow stitcher, quilter, and mess-maker, and she would like to assist our community with increasing mental health awareness and learning how to incorporate self-care into our daily life and creative process. |
