HO! HO! HO!  Tis the season for fun and festivities!  That's why we are doing a Countdown to Christmas on our Facebook page!  Each day we will feature a special deal!  So far, on day one, we had Patrick Lose's Celebrations in Quilting magazine at 15% off.  Day two was pre-cut fat quarters white band at $2 and blue band at $2.25 with no limit!  Yesterday, since we were closed, due to inventory, you received a $5 gift card with any online order.  Checkout our Facebook page today for another fun deal!  Our Facebook page is Creekside Quilting Iowa.

What's New @ Creekside Quilting?

Our Holiday Retreat was a great success!  Everyone had a good time and people asked when the next retreat would be!  I don't know that for sure, but will keep you posted via this newsletter and our store white board of Upcoming Classes!  We had a full house....thank you to everyone who joined in with our fun!

We had good food to eat...


We had fun being silly and laughing....

AND we got projects started and some done!





Janice made this darling quilt, The Places You'll Go!  I love the uniqueness of it, and she used novelty fabrics, that I just love put all together!  Book and pattern are available.


Yesterday, hot out of the box, we received the Colossal Jelly Roll Rug pattern for round jelly rugs!



Holiday Ideas to Make


It's not too late to make this darling tree skirt for the holidays!  Kits and patterns are available in the store...just call and we can reserve one for you or ship it to you!


This candy cane pattern by Marcia is fun and festive to complete before the holidays!  Makes a wonderful gift too!

     
Marcia also has this new wool project just in time for the  holidays!  The pattern is called 
Ho, Ho, Ho.  We have the pattern and kit ready for sale.


These cute elves would brighten any child's stocking!  One panel for both elves.  The candy cane kits, notice in the background of the picture, are still available also!
     

We still have a few kits for these table runner and place mats, which can be whipped up in an afternoon setting...crunch time?



This Over the River and Through the Woods pattern is a great January winter night project!

Everyone loves a new calendar!   This Sue Spargo calendar is a terrific gift to kick off the new year!

Patrick Lose's Celebrations in Quilting Winter issue has arrived!  Great quilts to make, a favorite Patrick recipe to make for the holidays, and an article on how to easily make binding!  Pictures are colorful and directions are easy to follow!
Warm holiday socks!  What's a Christmas stocking without a pair of socks for that special someone?

New Creekside Quilting Travel Mugs!  This will keep your hot chocolate hot and toasty!
These are cute little spice jars that can hold a numerous amount of sewing supplies!

And what seamstress is complete without scissors?  These holiday decorated small scissors are airplane approved, so if you are traveling in 2019, to someplace warm and exotic I hope, pack these along!

Pfaff

New sewing machine on your Christmas list?  We received in the new Pfaff Quilt Expression 720 and hope you will come in and play!  We have plenty of fabric samples for you to try out all the fun stitches!


We are joining together with Pfaff for special financing on the Performance Icon!  Really want to make someone happy?  This machine is amazing to sew and quilt on! 

What's Happening in December?
December 1st: I am totally excited about is the Kimberbell Machine Embroidery Club.  Our first machine applique project will be revealed on December 1st. Creekside Quilting is taking an exclusive dealer's project, making a sample, kitting the sample for purchase, and putting the sample on a flash drive.  You must purchase a Creekside Quilting flash drive for $30 for one year of uploads. then every month we will release our Kimberbell design and you may either chose to upload the design on your purchased Creekside Quilting flash drive or you can pass until another month.  Each upload for the year is free. You will also get first opportunity to buy the kit each month to go with the Kimberbell project.  Should you happen to miss a month, no worries, we will store all the months on the computer and you may upload the design the following month!

December 3rd we will be closed all day for inventory.

December 11th is Wool Club-open to every one who likes to wool applique

December 17th is English Paper Piecing Club-open to everyone who likes English Paper Piecing

December 19th is our Sew-in Applique-so if you like to hand applique, come join the group

December 21st is Sit and Knit and open to all knitters

December 24th and 25th we will be closed!

December 28th is UFO Friday Afternoon Club

December 31st we will close early and time is yet to be determined

Plan Ahead 2019

All class fees go straight to the instructor.  Due to the time each teacher puts into preparing for a class, no refunds will be made for canceling a class within one week of the class date.  In the same respect, should we need to cancel a class due to not meeting the minimum amount of students, we will cancel the class one week prior class date and offer a full refund or a class credit toward another class. 

  
Sleigh Bells BOM 2019                                                                     
Patty has put together a BOM for Creekside using the Sleigh Bells book/pattern.  Sleigh Bells is a folk-art quilt designed by Jan Patek.  The quilt is a combination of pieced and appliquéd blocks, to be completed in 11 months.  Sign-up will be between November 1 and December 15 and kit pick-up will begin in January.  The cost will be as follows:
registration fee:  $25
book:  $18.99
monthly kit fee:  $10
NEW!  Bundle the registration fee and 11 monthly kits at a discounted price of $125 and save $10 for the year!
for mail orders, shipping fee will be added each month

Sleigh Bells BOM is non-cancelable, non-refundable and your credit card will be kept in our POS credit card vault for an automatic monthly billing of each kit, OR you may pay for the year upfront.
A discount will be given in December 2019 and January 2020 for borders, binding, and backing in order to finish your quilt.
