  Jan's Quilting for Beginners: A Hobby for Life Class starts January 17th for three consecutive Monday nights.   

Learn the basics of quilt making start to finish using modern techniques, rotary cutter and mat.  Basic sewing experience and access to home sewing machine is required.  Students receive a pattern for a simple project to learn step by step.  Then students will be able to quilt with confidence and knowledge to complete a project.   Downton Abbey Fans we are having a Downton Abbey kickoff retreat for the new movie being released on March 22nd!  We are hosting a Downton Abbey Two Day Retreat on Friday, March 4th from 9am to 10 pm and Saturday, March 5th from 8 am to 9pm at the Walker Johnston Giovannetti Community Shelter in Urbandaale, Iowa.  There will be plenty of space for sewing, quilting, knitting, embroidery or most any craft project you want to work on!  We will have the season's of Downton Abbey running consistantly throughout our retreat time!   Michael Rice will be at the store on Tuesday, December 14th to oil, grease and polish Singer Featherweight sewing machines.  You must pre-register for this service and then bring your machine in between 10-10:30 am on Tuesday, December 14th.

 Wednesday, December 15th is Mid Month Madness!  Bring those bags in one more time this year and stuff it full for a 15% off savings!

 Wednesday, December 15th is the Applique Sew-in Group starting at 10:00 am and lasting all day! This group is open to everyone, just come on in and join the fun!

 Singer Featherweight Club will be Saturday, December18th.  This group is full.

  Sharon made this quilt for her daughter-in-law and it is all needleturn applique!  The Crazy Quilt Group Challenge was in total awe!!  Excellent job, Sharon!
