Finch and Fern was designed by a local Iowan, Emma Thomas-McGinnis and we are thrilled to have her line of fabric in the store. Next Monday, July 18th at 2pm, Creekside Quilting will be hosting a Meet and Greet the fabric designer! There will be all kinds of treats Monday afternoon for everyone who shows up, including 15% off all fabric purchases of Finch and Fern! Then Emma has agreed to join Julia for her live event at 4:30 pm to introduce her fabrics and talk about her designs. It should be a very fun afternoon! Simply Swoon is the name of the class being taught by professional educator Frankie Crosby from Pennslyvania on Friday, July 22nd, which you can register for HERE. The class takes the Thimble Blossoms Simply Swoon pattern, which you can purchase HERE, but we also have the Thimble Blossoms Mini Swoon Pattern HERE. You could use either pattern when taking the class with Frankie!

A good understanding of how to use your sewing machine is a must. Sewing classes require a basic sewing kit and quilting tools.
***PLEASE NOTE that cancelation of classes will be refunded up to 1week prior to the class date and time. After that, the instructor is expecting you and there will be no refunds for cancelations.

Sit and Knit with Elaine on Thursday, July 14th starting at 10:30 am. This club is open to anyone who likes to knit, and would like to knit with other knitters! This group is open to everyone so just come on in and join the fun!

Friday, July 15th Hugs & Stitches is a local business that provides quilting serives for our customers! If you have a quilt top that is finished, and are just looking for someone to quilt it, drop off your quilt by the pick up dates located on our website calendar! We have a booklet of quilt designs and thread color to choose from. Once the paperwork is filled out, your quilt will be picked up for quilting and returned back to Creekside Quilting in a timely manner for payment and pick up. A non-refundabe deposit of $75 is required at time of drop off, and the $75 will be posted against the completed amount.
NEW SEASON STARTING!! Singer Featherweight Club will be Saturday, July 16th at 10:30 Do you have a vintage Singer Featherweight sewing machine? Join us the 3rd Saturday of the month from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m for a day of sewing with other Singer Featherweight enthusiasts! Bring your projects, share your ideas, share your knowledge about the machine, and enjoy a day of sewing with new friends on featherweights. This group is open to everyone...you just need to have a Singer Vintage Featherweight to sew upon! Come join the fun! Registration is not required.

Friday, July 22nd from 9:30-4, we have an educator from Pennsylvania coming to Creekside Quilting to teach the Swoon quilt block. Frankie Crosby is a wonderful teacher, as I took a class from her in 2021, and asked her to come to Creekside Quilting to teach you! You will learn how to make this 24" Swoon block, which is hanging in the front of the store. You can regiister for this one day, 6 1/2 hour class HERE. You won't be disappointed!

The Elm Creek Quilter's Book Club will meet Wednesday, July 27th at 2:30. This month we are reading book 5 in the Jennifer Chi series, The Quilter's Legacy. You can purchase the book from Creekside HERE Everyone is welcome to join!
This year we are doing it a little differently! Come any last Friday of the month and pay $2 to particpate for that day. The first $1 will go towards meeting your goals and the second $1 will go into the kitty for our year end party of prizes for our achievements! You can start any month you want, set any goals you want, and collect your $1 back the next month with at least one met goal. IF you don't meet at least one of the goals you set, you owe a dollar. If you miss the next month, you owe a dollar for each month missed when you return. Come any month...no need to register...just show up and complete some of the UFO's that are driving you crazy!

Learn to Use Your Pfaff Ambition Sewing Machine Class is Saturday, August 6th starting at 10:30am. One of the most important parts of quilting is having a sewing machine you know how to use! In this class, we will introduce you to your Ambition sewing machine by going through everything you machine has to offer from turning it on, winding a bobbin, and the computer stitch selection guide. When you have a knowledge of all the things your sewing machine can do, the creativity process becomes limitless! You must own a Pfaff Ambition 610, 620, or 630 to partake in this class AND bring your own machine with you to class. Regsiter HERE
