How did you welcome in the new year?  I was in bed by 9pm and sleeping soundly as the clock struck midnight....but my kids each had a different way of celebrating!

Sewing Machine Cleaning and Repair Dates

Start your year off with a clena and polished Featherweight! Michael will be in the store on Tuesday, January 10th and Tuesday, January 24th to clean and polish FEATHERWEIGHTS! Register to have your Featherweight cleaned and  polished HERE.  You must reserve a spot in advance of         as space is limited.  Your machine will be ready for pickup the day of service	Jerry will be back on Monday, January 9th and Monday, January 23rd for cleaning and repairs. Register your machine for a cleaning HERE Register your machine for a repair NO cleaning HERE Spaces are limited so pre-registration is needed.  Your machine may or may not be ready for pick up the day of service, but without a necessary repair, it should be ready for pick up within the week of service.

  Saturday, January 14th starting at 12:30pm, Express You Emotions with Slow Stitch.  This workshop is an exploration of mindful self-care practice through the process of inviting in emotion to be expressed and embraced with hand stitching. We will discuss how your emotions influence (and can block) your creativity, and you will be guided through mindful coping skills and a slow stitch project. Activities will be hands-on and all supplies will be included to utilize and take away from class. Questions, discussion, and newcomers are welcome, and a third optional hour will be offered for social stitching. Ultimately, this class is meant to enhance your mental health by learning how to emotionally express yourself with fabric and the skills can be applied to your other mediums as well.  Singer Featherweight Club will be Saturday, January 21st at 10:30am This group is open to everyone, so bring your featherweight machine and sew with friends!
  NEW!!!  Monday, January 23rd at 1pm will be our Machine Embroidery Club!  A club to share knowledge, questions and ideas on embroidery/sewing machines.  Tips and discussions on stabilizers…what they are, types, why you need to use them, I would bring various examples.  Discuss all thread types and bobbin threads, hooping your project versus non-hooping, editing, enlarging, rotating embroidery designs, again I would bring examples to show and share.  How to download designs from websites to a USB stick and extract them from zipped files when necessary.  How to use the embroidery designs that came preloaded in your particular machine.In the Hoop embroidery designs that are totally completed in the hoop, with samples to show/share.  Register HERE to reserve your seat!

  Nice job Dianne!!  This kit can be ordered from our store HERE....best way to get in the mood for Valentine's Day is to make a quilt with chocolate and hearts!  Might want to keep some chocolate next to the sewing machine as you are making this quilt!
